How to Stop the 8E Blue Screen

Having an out-of-date or corrupt driver on your system causes the Error 8 blue screen that appears on your Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer. Correcting this problem may seem like a difficult task, but there is a simple solution. Updating the drivers on your system by running a Windows Update is the recommended technique from Microsoft. Running Windows Update can be done by anybody with even the most minimal of computer skills.

      Click "Start" then "All Programs."

      Click "Windows Update."

      Click "Check for updates" on the left side of the screen.

      Click "Install updates."

      Restart your computer after the updates have been installed.
