Double-check your connections. RF and RCA cables are commonly bumped loose, leading to a fuzzy or nonexistent signal. Inspect the cables for damage as well. A bent connector pin or frayed wire also generates signal problems.
- 2
Replace your remote control's batteries. Remote control issues are often caused by a simple dead battery. Most Sansui DTV models use AA batteries.
- 3
Enter your parental code on your remote to unlock blocked channels. According to the Sansui DTV1900 user manual, the V-Chip can block signals from channels based on ratings and content. However, the V-Chip sometimes mistakenly blocks a previously allowable program. Your V-Chip parental password will allow the signal to come through without being scrambled.

Use an alternate connection source. Sansui DTVs offer coaxial RF ports and RCA ports. If you are experiencing technical difficulties with one connection type, utilize the alternate connection type as a workaround.
- 5
Blow compressed air into the vents on the side of the TV. Over time, accumulated dust can cause problems for a Sansui DTV's internal hardware. Compressed air will force dust out of the unit, alleviating this problem.
