- 1
Turn off the angle stops, or supply valves, underneath the cabinet, open the faucet and allow the water to drain out.
- 2
Unhook the pull rod from the lever extending from the drain tailpiece, which is the pipe extending down from the sink. Squeeze the clamp on the lever with your fingers and slide it off, taking the adjustable strap connected to the pull rod with it. Unscrew the strap from the pull rod with a slotted screwdriver and remove it, then pull the rod out of from the top of the faucet.
- 3
Unscrew the flexible supply hose from the bottom of the valve stem extending down from each handle with slip-lock pliers. Unscrew the other end of the supply from the angle stop and remove it.
- 4
Disengage the flexible supply extending to the spout from the valve stem of each handle. You may be able to simply pull back on the connector nut in order to remove it, or you may have to unscrew the nut with slip-lock pliers. After you have removed the hose from each handle, unscrew the nut that connects both hoses to the bottom of the spout stem and remove the hoses.
- 5
Unscrew the retaining nut on each handle with slip-lock pliers or a basin wrench, then lift the handle off the sink.
- 6
Unscrew the connecting plate holding the spout to the sink with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove the plate, then lift the spout off the sink.

How to Uninstall a Moen 4570
The Moen 4570 bathroom faucet is part of its Monticello series. It has two lever-style handles, each fitted with a Moen 1224 cartridge, and a pop-up waste assembly. It is a widespread faucet, meaning the handles are separated from the spout and connected to it by means of flexible hoses hidden underneath the cabinet. The hoses do not present a problem when you need to remove one because they are easy to disengage. The only other difference between removing this type of faucet and most others is that you'll need to unscrew some screws.
