How to Unlock Zumo 550

The Garmin zumo 550 is a GPS navigation device designed for use with motorcycles. Besides mapping and navigation functions, the zumo 550 also features a picture viewer, audio book and MP3 player and headphone connectivity. In addition, the device features a theft deterrent that locks out all functions. This lockout feature only responds to a four-digit PIN number or to a GPS signal picked up from a specific security location that you chose when you set up your zumo 550.

  Turn on your Garmin zumo 550.

  Tap out your four-digit PIN number on the touch screen when the password entry prompt appears, or go to your security location to pick up a signal.

  Select a device option via the touch screen such as "Where to?," "View map" or one of the icons at the bottom of the screen to begin using your zumo 550.
