How to Use BlackBerry for International Calls

The BlackBerry is a smartphone that is frequently used by people in business. Many businesses deal with international clients, which means that the ability to use your BlackBerry for international calls could make the difference between a successful or failed contract. Contact your service provider before you encounter the need to make international calls, to ensure you are set up correctly for international dialing.

Contact your BlackBerry's service provider to inquire about additional software you may need to download. For example, Verizon customers will need to download "I-Dial," Verizon's international calling program.

Verify that your BlackBerry's service plan has minutes allocated for international calling. Contact customer service, or navigate to your account page on your provider's website. If you do not have minutes allocated for international calling, adjust your plan to avoid fees.
