Place a CD or DVD, recordable side down, into the tray. Do not touch the recordable side of the disc, and ensure the DVD is flush in the tray with no upturned edges. Press the "Eject" button once more to close the tray. The recorder will automatically begin to read the disc. Install a memory card into your device by determining which card slot to use. Three memory slots exist to accommodate a Memory Stick Duo, SD Card, xD-Picture Card, regular memory card, and CompactFlash card. The memory drive located on the far left of the right side of the device is the Memory Stick Duo slot. Insert a Memory Stick Duo, receptors first, until it clicks into place. The slot to the right of that (in the center) is the Memory Stick/SD Card/xD-Picture Card slot. Install a memory card into that slot until it clicks into place. To remove cards from either of these two slots, push the card from the back and pull it out. The slot located to the far right is the CompactFlash card slot. To insert the card, push it in. Pull it out to remove it. Follow the display prompts to begin recording.
