How to Use Yahoo Messenger on a Samsung Strive

Yahoo! Messenger is an instant message client that uses your Yahoo! account information to connect with your contacts. Although it started as a computer desktop application, Yahoo! now offers the program as a mobile app. The Samsung Strive smart phone comes with the mobile app installed, but you have to sign in to use it.

  Click "Menu" using the soft key on the Samsung Strive's home screen.

  Click "Messaging" in the menu list. Click "IM" in the Messaging screen.

  Click "Yahoo!" and then "New Account."

  Enter your Yahoo! user name and password. Click "Sign In."

  Click the user name of the contact you want to send an instant message to, and enter the message in the content box. Click "Send."
