How to View Printing History From HP IP Printers

You can configure your computer to store the printing history from your HP printer for later viewing. This is especially helpful if you repeatedly print the same documents, or need to keep a record of printed materials from the HP printer. Windows stores this information in the "Printer Queue," but this feature is turned off by default. You must first enable the Printer Queue to store your HP printer history before you can view any history data.
  • Enable Printing History

    • 1

Go to the Start menu. Click "Control Panel." Click "Printers."

    • 2

Right-click on your HP printer in the list. Select "Properties" in the menu that appears.

    • 3

Select the "Advanced" tab. Locate the box that says "Keep printed documents." Click the box to place a check mark in it. Click "OK" to save the changes.

    View Printing History

    • 1

Go to the Control Panel. Click "Printers."
