The modem, floppy drive and the lack of a Wi-Fi card identify the Hewlett-Packard n5420L laptop computer as a product from the turn of the century. Its 13.3-inch screen and small size place it squarely in the notebook genre of laptop. The 10 GB hard drive is laughably small by current standards, and the optical drive could not write CDs, never mind DVDs.
