HP Mini Specifications

    • As of November 2010, Hewlett-Packard lists three mini netbook computer series on its website: the HP Mini 110 Series, the HP Mini 210 Series, and the HP Pavilion dm1z Series.

    Processors

    • The HP Mini 110 Series computers come with either an Intel 1.66GHz Atom N455 processor with 512KB level two cache or an Intel 1.83GHz Atom N475 processor with 512KB level two cache memory. The HP Mini 210 Series laptops are equipped with one of three processors: the Intel 1.66GHz Atom 455, the Intel 1.83 GHz Atom N475, or the Intel 1.50GHz Atom N550 Dual Core. All the processors that come with the Mini 210 series have 512KB level two cache memory. The HP Pavilion dm1z Series come with one of three AMD processors: the AMD 1.7GHz Athlon II Neo K125 with 1MB level two cache, the AMD 1.3GHz Athlon II Neo Dual Core K325 with 2MB level two cache, or the AMD 1.5 GHz Turion II Neo Dual Core K625 with 2MB level two cache memory.

    Memory

    • The Mini 110 and 210 Series netbooks can support either PC2-5200 or PC2-6400 RAM. The standard amount of RAM installed in these computers is 1GB, and the maximum installable RAM is 2GB. The Pavilion dm1z Series can support either PC3-8500 or PC3-10600. The dm1z Series comes with 2GB of RAM, with a free upgrade to 3GB. The maximum amount of RAM supportable by the dm1z Series is 5GB.

    Hard Drive

    • Netbooks from the Mini 110 Series can be equipped with either a 160GB or 250GB SATA2 hard disk drive, with 5400 rpm platter speed. The Mini 210 netbooks come with either a 160GB or 250GB SATA2 hard drive, with 7200 rpm platter speed. The HP Pavilion dm1z Series laptops contain one of three possible hard drives: 250GB, 320GB, or 500GB SATA2 hard drives, with 7200 rpm platter speed and HP ProtectSmart.

    Battery

    • Mini 110 Series laptops come with a six-cell rechargeable lithium-ion battery, with up to nine and one-half hours of battery life. Mini 210 Netbooks have a six-cell lithium-ion battery, with up to 10.75-hour battery life. The dm1z Series computers have a six-cell lithium-ion battery that can last up to five hours.

    Display/Graphics

    • The HP Pavilion dm1z laptops are equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 Graphics card and have an 11.6-inch diagonal HD LED wide-screen display, with BrightView technology and 1366-by-768 resolution. The HP Mini 210 netbooks come with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150. Some 210 models also have a Broadcom Crystal HD Video Accelerator. The LED display for the 210 models is either a 10.1-inch WSVGA HP Brightview Infinity with 1024 by 600 resolution, or a 10.1-inch High Definition HP BrightView Infinity with 1366 by 768 resolution. The Mini 110 series computers come with an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 and have a 10.1-inch WSVGA HP anti-glare LED display with 1024-by-600 resolution.

    Network Connections

    • The Mini 110 and 210 netbooks can be equipped with either 802.11b/g/n WLAN or 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth. The Pavilion dm1z laptops can come with either Wireless-N Card or Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth. All three series can be outfitted with HP Mobile Broadband with GPS. All these netbooks have an Integrated 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN with RJ-45 connector.

    Ports

    • The Mini 110 and 210 series include the following ports: two-in-one Digital Media Reader, RJ-45 port, VGA (monitor) port, and three USB ports. The Pavilion dm1z netbooks include a five-in-one Digital Media Reader, HDMI port, RJ-45 port, VGA port, and three USB ports.

    Dimensions

    • The 110 Series measure 10.55 inches long, 7.64 inches wide, and 0.93 to 1.26 inches high. They weigh three pounds. The dimensions of the 210 Series are 10.55 inches long, 7.51 inches wide, and 0.93 to 1.26 inches high. They weigh 3.1 pounds. The Pavilion dm1z netbooks are 11.4 inches long, 8.03 inches wide, and 0.78 to 1.20 inches high. The height depends upon optional extras installed.
