The Nissan GT-R is the Japanese automaker's halo car. This car was introduced for sale in the United States as a 2009 model. While the production numbers of this car may be low, the Nissan GT-R shows off the most advanced technology Nissan has to offer.
  • Layout

    • The GT-R carries on the spirit of the Skyline R34 that it replaces. The GT-R is a front-engine, all-wheel-drive design with shifting duties relegated to a six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

    Engine

    • A turbocharged 3.8 L V-6 engine powers the GT-R. This 24-valve DOHC design has a 3.76-inch bore, 3.48-inch stroke and a compression ratio of 9:1. This engine produces 485 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 434 ft-lbs of torque at 3,200 rpm.

    Performance

    • The GT-R's turbocharged V-6 sends its 3,836-lb curb weight to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and propels the vehicle through the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 120.9 mph. This vehicle has a top speed of 193 mph and is capable of stopping from 60 mph in 104 feet.
