Instructions to Reset the HP Inkjet Cartridges 94 & 95

The HP 94 and HP 95 are black and color ink-jet printer cartridges utilized in several of HP's home Deskjet printers. If you have manually refilled your empty HP 94 or 95 cartridge and reinstalled it into your HP printer, it will not be recognized as full. In order for the HP printer to recognize these cartridges, it must first be reset. Thankfully for those refilling cartridges, this reset is very simple to perform.

  Refill the HP 94 and 95, then insert them into your printer and allow the ink to settle for approximately eight hours.

  Turn on your HP printer.

  Press and hold the "Resume" key on your HP printer's keypad.

  Release the "Resume" key after approximately 10 to 15 seconds. The HP printer will reset and now recognize the HP 94 and 95 as full cartridges.
