Soldiers enlisting in Army armed security forces must meet a series of physical standards. These standards are associated with strength, endurance and power. According to the Military website, basic requirements must first be met and maintained as a soldier progresses into advance infantry training. Instructors score soldiers on performance via a point system. All soldiers must reach a standard score of 150 points to continue training.

    Two Mile Run

    • The two mile run is an essential test of cardiovascular strength and endurance. The Military website states that officials requires male enlistees between 17 and 21 years old to complete a 2 mile run in 16 minutes 36 seconds. Female soldiers of the same age must run 2 miles in 19 minutes and 42 seconds. Male and female soldiers between 21 and 26 years old must complete a 2 mile run in 17 minutes 30 seconds and 20 minutes 30 seconds, respectively.

    Push-Ups And Sit-Ups

    • Push-ups and sit-ups are classic exams of physical strength, according to the Military website. Men between 17 and 21 years old must meet minimum standards of 35 push-ups and 53 sit-ups without stopping. At the same time, women of the same age must complete 19 push-ups and 53 sit-ups. Scores and numbers are expected to increase as soldiers continue basic training.

    Minimum Scoring

    • The minimum score needed to complete basic training is 150 points. However, such a score represents the absolute lowest numbers allowed to graduate, according to the Military website. A score this low can harm a soldier's personal record showing a below-average level of physical fitness. A soldier must receive at least 180 points to graduate from Army infantry training and a score of over 270 can earn an enlistee an official physical fitness badge.
