Operating Instructions for the Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher EQ Plus

Automatic dishwashers like the Maytag Jetclean EQ Plus take most of the hassle out of doing the dishes. Because the EQ Plus requires no pre-rinsing, and little pre-cleaning, doing the dishes shouldn't take you more than a few minutes. Maytag recommends following the specific instructions to use the Jetclean EQ Plus dishwasher. This will ensure your dishes are washed properly.

  Scrape off large chunks of food from your dishes. It's not necessary to prerinse the dishes prior to loading them into the Maytag Jetclean EQ Plus.

  Place your cups, glasses, small plates, bowls and large utensils on the top rack of the dishwasher.

  Place your large plates, large bowls, pots, pans, and other larger items on the bottom rack. If you have an item tall enough to interfere with the jet wand above the bottom rack, place it in the back part of the rack so it doesn't interfere.

  Place your small utensils, such as forks, knives and spoons, in the plastic utensil caddy.

  Open the detergent cap on the inside part of the door. Keep the door lowered. Fill the cap with automatic dishwashing detergent. Close the cap. Close the door.

  Push the button to start your cleaning cycle. You can press "Auto Clean," "Heavy," "Normal," or "Light." You can also choose "Rinse Only." If you choose "Rinse Only," do not put detergent in the cup. Maytag recommends using "Auto Clean."
