Present Ideas for a Grandmother's B-Day

  • Customized Broach

    • Choose a shape such as a flower. Place the grandmother's birthstone in the center of the flower. Petals would flow from the center of the flower. The number of petals would represent each of her children. A grandmother with four children has four petals coming from the center. On each petal is her child's birthstone and the birthstone of her grandchildren born to that particular child. If child one has two children, pedal one would have three birthstones representing her child and each grandchild. As an alternative, rings, pendants, bracelets, and hanging ornaments provides the same beauty and memories as the brooch would.

    Blankets and Quilts

    • Remind grandmother of the accomplishments in her life with a personalized blanket or quilt. Give each family member a eight sq ft square. For larger families, limit the number of square to one square per family. On the square, the family member can write a message or draw a picture. After everyone is finished decorating the squares, stitch the squares together into a quilt. On larger items such as blankets, print a family photo, and a personalized message. Personalized photo blankets can be purchased at most photo print shops.

    Gift Card

    • Give a gift card to grandmother's favorite place to shop, eat or entertainment. A gift card will allow grandmother to choose the type of gift that she really wants. If grandmother does not have a favorite shop, give a prepaid Visa or Master Card gift card. This allows her to shop anywhere she pleases.

    Vacation

    • Provide grandmother with much needed rest and relaxation. Book a vacation with a travel group designed especially for women. The groups are small, personalized and organized. She will be able to go with a best friend or go alone to meet new friends. A travel group is a great idea for women who are shy and feels comfortable only around other women. Book a romantic getaway package for grandmother who wants to travel with her spouse. Give them a second honeymoon to a place they have always wanted to visit. Give grandmother a camera to go along with the vacation present. The camera will enable her to take pictures and make memories.
