Programming Guide for a Toshiba Strata CTX28

The Toshiba Strata CTX28 is a telephone system that is used in a business environment. Options on the phone can be accessed by the user or a system administrator. If you plan to use this model of telephone, there are features that will need to be set. You are able to add additional "User IDs" to the phone, if there is more than one user. Recordings can also be made for an announcement or greeting and music, when the busy/hold option is used.

Add a "User ID"

  Press option "8" on the Main Menu to access the System Administration menu. Enter your "User ID" when prompted.

  Press option "5" on the System Administration menu for "Add User IDs." You will be prompted by the voice-mail feature to enter your "User ID."

  Enter the "User ID" that you want to add and then press the "#" key. The voice-mail feature will repeat the "User ID" that was entered and ask to you confirm the entry.

  Press the "1" key to confirm the "User ID" and go back to the System Administer menu. Press "Cancel" to abort the process and return to the System Administrator menu.

Record System Announcements

  Press option "8" on the Main Menu to access the System Administration menu. Enter your "User ID" when you are prompted.

  Press option "1" for "Record System Announcement." You will be prompted by the voice-mail feature to record the announcement.

  Speak into the receiver to record the announcement. Press option "1" if you decide to re-record the announcement. Record the announcement again at the beep.

  Press option "1" to review the recording. If you are satisfied with the announcement, press option "9" to save the recording. You will be prompted, by the voice-mail feature, that the recording has been successfully recorded.

  Press option "9" to go back to the Main Menu.

Record Busy/Hold Music

  Press option "8" on the Main Menu to access the System Administration menu. Enter your "User ID" when you are prompted.

  Press option "3" for "Record Busy/Hold Music." You will be prompted by the voice-mail feature that the current music will be deleted.

  Record the new music for Busy/Hold. Press option "9" to save the music.
