Bonnet carpet cleaning is a cleaning method that uses a rotary cleaner. The rotary machine uses a rayon, cotton or polypropylene pad. As the machine agitates, the dirt in the carpet is loosened and the pad absorbs the dirt. Because the dirt is absorbed by the pad, the pad should be changed frequently. Failing to replace the pads may result in dirt being transferred back to the carpet.
BioKleen

Inhibitor free, BioKleen bonnet cleaner does not contain the toxins used to prevent mildew stains and odors. The solution is effective in both hot and cold water. The shampoo is gentle on the skin and it does not have to be rinsed from the carpet.
The carpet cleaner and rug shampoo is biodegradable and sensitive enough to be used around people with chemical sensitivities and allergies. The solution is ozone safe and does not contain optical brighteners, dyes, phosphates, chlorine, ammonia, petroleum solvents, alcohol, Environmental Protection Agency priority pollutants or fragrances. Nor does the solution contain any ingredients listed by the ACGIH as hazardous. A five-gallon container of bonnet cleaner will make 230 gallons of cleaner. The product is not tested on animals nor does it contain any animal ingredients.
Oriental Rug Shampoo
-
Oriental rug shampoo is designed specifically for use on oriental rugs, wool rugs and carpets and specialty textiles. The shampoo is a neutral pH shampoo to be used in rotary, rotary extractions or other dry-foam equipment.
The shampoo is a clear yellow liquid with a spice fragrance, and it leaves minimal residue, so final rising is not needed. Bonnet cleaners use a 16 to 1 ratio. Mix every 8 oz. of solution with 1 gallon of warm water.
Increase the effectiveness of the shampoo by vacuuming the area before cleaning the carpet. Use a hand brush to reach corners and other places the machine cannot reach. Clean the carpet in 3-foot intervals at a time. Use plastic to protect the furniture from the wet floor.

The cleaner does not contain carcinogens or potential carcinogens. It is not hazardous, according to the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. The solution ranges from a white to a pale yellow opaque liquid. It is sold in 1-gallon, 5-gallon and 55-gallon sizes.
