• You can never go wrong with jewelry. Find mom a necklace that includes charms to symbolize each of her children. It does not have to be personalized with engraving, but make sure it signifies each child personally. You can also get her a pair of earnings with her birthstone, which is especially appropriate as a birthday gift.

• Give your mom a constant reminder of her children--a photograph. Gather the children and grandchildren (if there are any), and have a professional photographer take a special image for mom. She can work on the computer in the same room as her kids and not be chained to a desk in another room with a desktop monitor.
