Whether you make money plowing driveways, have a winter event planned or simply want to celebrate the coming snows, there are creative and fun ways to make posters about the snow's arrival. From polished graphics to relaxed and creative childlike crafts, just adjust some of these poster ideas to your particular needs and enjoy the snow.
Get Technical
-
One of the first options to consider is using free graphics from the Internet. Simply choose images that capture your message---"Let it snow!" is a popular one---and print them using a color printer. Cut out the images with scissors and affix them to posterboard. Or use a design or word-processing program to arrange images and text to make small posters on single sheets of paper. Checking out images online can give you ideas as you make your own original creation.
Get Crafty
-
Take a cue from kindergarten and get out the glue, the glitter and bags of cotton balls. Invite the kids to join in the fun, too. Blobs of white liquid glue (like Elmer's) smeared around like a frame and "piled" up in the corners will look like snow. Add text in big, bold marker ink. Dribble more glue and sprinkle glitter liberally. Let it snow!
Get Clever
-
Snow leopards are an endangered species. Even as winter approaches, you can turn the "snow is coming" poster into an environmental project, as well. Purchase one blue posterboard and one white one. Cut the white posterboard in wavy shapes and glue them onto the blue, making snow. Using images and information from websites about snow leopards, add a few paper snowflakes and you will have a unique and useful poster to share. Be sure to include ways people can help these beautiful creatures, like addresses to send donations or website addresses for more information.
Time to Buy
-
Of course, in some cases there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Beautiful snow posters available for purchase may perfectly suit your needs. Use them as they are or modify your store bought poster for your own purposes.
