Specs of HP 5Si Paper Tray

The Hewlett-Packard 5Si LaserJet printer comes equipped with three paper trays and a fourth large-capacity tray that is optional. Each tray has its own paper limit and accommodates specific types of media.

Tray One

• As a multi-purpose tray, the first tray can handle a variety of paper types including letter-size, A4, executive and legal papers as well as postcards, envelopes, transparencies and laser printer labels. This tray holds up to 100 sheets of standard 20-lb. bond paper and up to 10 envelopes.

Trays Two and Three

• The second and third trays can accommodate single-sided and double-sided 16 to 28-lb. bond paper. Only letter, legal, A3 and A4-sized paper fits into these trays. Each tray holds up to 500 sheets and is equipped with a sensor that detects the size of paper and the amount of paper left in the tray.

Tray Four

• The fourth tray, or large-capacity tray, holds up to 2,000 sheets of paper. It handles the same paper sizes as the second and third tray and does not accommodate odd sizes or custom-sized paper.

Dimensions

• Each tray pulls out 14.5 inches. The fourth tray or large-capacity tray has a height of 18.9 inches.

Maintenance

• Hewlett-Packard recommends the replacement of the feed and separation rollers on trays two, three and four every 350,000 pages.
