Thinkpad 2373 Specifications

    • If you are looking for a business laptop that runs on a Microsoft Windows XP operating system, then the Lenovo ThinkPad 2373 may be what you are looking for. A modern design finished in black, it is compact enough to carry around. It is ideal for those commutes into work or if you spend most of your time on the road. Packed with features, such as a high-tech security system, the 2373 is a good quality laptop.

    Network and Connectivity

    • The 2373 has a 1GB Ethernet installed into its board and ThinkPad's own wireless system for optimum connectivity. For connecting external units, including microphones and speakers, there are several types of external ports. Ports include two USB version 2.0, two audio ports and one CRT port for an external monitor. If serial ports or PS/2 ports are needed, an additional ThinkPad dock is required, as there are no such ports on the 2373. Adding to its versatility, the ThinkPad 2373 also has Bluetooth capability.

    Keyboard

    • The keyboard has 86 keys, which includes an embedded numeric keypad and a UltraNav customized mouse pad. The mouse pad has an integrated TrackPoint system to increase flexibility when operating the cursor on the screen. Other features include a keyboard light, volume controls and a mute button. There is also a function key in the bottom left of the keyboard that allows the user to access operations via a shortcut. Using the function key, the user can put the laptop on standby or into sleep mode without having to pull up the "Start" menu. For extra security, there is a fingerprint reader in the palm rest of the 2373, which allows the user to prevent anyone else from accessing the laptop.

    Additional Features

    • The 2373 comes loaded with extra features, such as the Windows XP Home Edition operating system and an infrared transceiver. The infrared transceiver is useful for downloading files and transferring data quickly. Also included are 2373 accessories, which include a battery pack and an AC adaptor. The battery pack allows users to work without the need of mains power, enabling the user to work on train commutes or in outdoor locations, such as city parks or gardens. When the battery is low on power, simply plug in the AC adaptor to a mains outlet and allow the adaptor to simultaneously charge the laptop while powering it.
