Training Planner Software

Dozens of training planner software programs are available on the Internet, enabling athletes to monitor and record their workouts and diet. Each program comes with its own unique features.
  • Software

    • Fitlife is available to download for a 30-day free trial and costs $40 to purchase, as of November 2010. Runner's Studio is also available to try free for 30 days; it costs $34.95 to buy, as of November 2010. ITriTracker is available as a 30-use demo and costs $19.95 to buy, as of November 2010.

    Features

    • ITriTracker is an easy-to-use training planner that allows you to plan multiple event types at the same time, such as running, biking and swimming. Runner's Studio allows you to record in a journal the thoughts and experiences you have while training, and can customize and create training workouts in minutes. FitLife can display graphs that cover nutrition, body fat percentage and weight lost during each workout.

    Details

    • Fitlife and iTriTracker are available for all Windows operating systems; Runner's Studio is limited to Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Runner's Studio requires 10 MB of available hard drive space, iTriTracker requires 2.5 MB, and Fitlife requires 12.1 MB.
