  The Yuasa YTX15L-BS is a maintenance free battery used in small motorized vehicles, such as motorcycles, all terrain vehicles and snowmobiles. The YTX battery series employs a number of unique construction features to make it better suited for use in active vehicles such as motorcycles. These include a special absorbed glass matt cell separator for vibration resistance, as well as a flame arrestor as part of its venting system.

Voltage and Amperage

• The Yuasa YTX15L-BS is a 12 volt battery which holds 13 amp-hours of power. It can accept a charge current of 1.3 amps and can produce up to 230 amps of cold cranking power in temperatures as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

Terminal Types

• Yuasa equips this battery with three different sets of terminals -- top, side and front. Its top terminal is square shaped with a small, round terminal in the center. The side terminal is a square with a large rectangular cutout and the front terminal is a shallow rectangle with a round center cutout.

Compatible Batteries

• The Yuasa YTX15L-BS can be used as a drop-in replacement for batteries from other manufacturers. It is functionally equivalent to the Interstate CYTX15L-BS, Motocross M6215L and the Sears 44162 batteries.

Dimensions

• A relatively small battery, the YTX15L-BS measures 6-7/8 inches long, 3-7/16 inches wide and 5-1/8 inches high. It weighs 8.8 pounds before being filled with the necessary 0.69 liters of battery acid.
