Zoo Tycoon 2 Problems

In "Zoo Tycoon 2," you get the opportunity to build your own zoo from the ground up, wander through the exhibits, and take photos of the critters residing there. If "Zoo Tycoon 2" is not working properly, it could be because your system does not meet the base requirements.
  • Basic Requirements

    • Make sure that your computer has 1.7 gigabytes of hard disk space available, 512 megabytes of RAM, either the Windows XP or Vista operating system, and a 1-gigahertz processor. Speakers are required to listen to audio, and you will need Internet access to download additional content for your game. Remember that the game CD must be in the CD drive to play.

    Game-Play Problems

    • If guests are no longer coming to your zoo, check your settings. Click the money symbol, and then the question mark symbol. If your zoo is closed, you will see a green button. Click the button to open your zoo. Make sure guests can view the exhibits from the walking paths, or they will not come to the zoo. This is also true if animals are escaping from their exhibits, so make sure that all animals are in their enclosures.

    System Updates

    • You should periodically check for updates for Windows Vista while playing "Zoo Tycoon 2." Click "Start" from your desktop, and then select "All Programs." Open "Windows Update" to begin updating your computer. This will help "Zoo Tycoon 2" run more effectively and avoid any technical problems.
