ActiveX Is Blocked When Installing Flash

ActiveX is a type of Internet Explorer technology that allows developers to create small Web-based applications to install software and enhance content. When you are attempting to download Adobe Flash, you may get an error or a notice that says ActiveX is blocked. To rectify this problem, you can change a setting in your browser.

  Launch Internet Explorer, click "Tools" and then click the "Security Options" tab.

  Highlight the "Internet" icon and click the "Customize Level" button.

  Click the radio button next to "Enable" under each ActiveX item. Click the "OK" button. Restart your browser.
