Features
-
Aerobic treatment systems use oxygen to break down organic material, according to the University of Minnesota. The oxygen provides a rich environment for bacteria, which feed upon the wastewater within the treatment unit.
Pretreatment
-
Aerobic systems may include a pretreatment process of reducing solids within the aerobic unit. Pretreatment processes include a trash trap, which prevents the clogging of an aerobic unit.
