The Classmate notebook computer is a small form factor personal computer based off of the Intel Atom processor architecture. This makes the Classmate a reasonably sized choice when looking for a simple notebook for school or business purposes. While not overpowered by any means, it is nevertheless capable of running most modern programs without issue.
Processor
-
The Classmate comes with an Intel Atom processor running at a clock speed of 1.66GHz. This will never keep pace with modern desktop processors running at 2.4-3.0GHz, but will enable you to surf the Internet and run word processing programs without much trouble at all.
Memory
-
Depending on the model you choose, the Classmate can hold up to 2GB of internal DDR2 memory running at 667MHz. The more memory, the better the multitasking ability of the computer.
Screen and Others
-
The display of the Classmate is only 10.1 inches, using a widescreen 1024 x 600 resolution. The system is water resistant, contains a built-in webcam and has integrated graphics and sound cards.
