• The Copystar CS-5050 is a multi-function combination scanner, copier, fax machine and printer. Weighing 188 pounds, it is a bulky machine but has a maximum capacity of 200,000 pages per month. It is designed to handle multiple jobs at once in a busy office setting with speed as a top priority.

Speed

• The CS-5050 warms up within 30 seconds to maximize efficiency and speed. It can accept programming during the warm-up cycle and auto-starts when a job is waiting. The first page prints within 3.5 seconds and, after the initial copy, it can print 50 pages per minute on letter size or 26 ppm on legal or ledger paper.

Paper Supply

• The CS-5050 has two paper drawers and each has a capacity of 500 sheets for a total of 1,000 printed pages before refilling is necessary. The auto-tray selection chooses the most convenient tray and can switch during the print job to the other tray if required. The printer also allows paper to be added while a job is printing. The CS-5050 can print on bond paper, transparencies, labels and envelopes.

Copying

• A touch screen interface allows you to select the copying options for each job. The CS-5050 can print up to 999 copies continuously. It also supports zooming in or out, paper selection, job building, covers, rotation, and page numbering.

Scanning

• The scanner supports both monochrome and color modes at resolutions of 200, 300, 400 and 600 dots per inch. It can scan 50 pages per minute in monochrome format or 25 ppm in color. It scans to a folder, email, an FTP connection or TWAIN, if a driver is supported. The scanner also includes the option to send to multiple sources, separate files, send and store, or send and print mode.

Fax Capabilities

• The integrated fax machine operates at 33.6 Kbps and compresses data through MMR, MR, MH and JBIG formats at a speed of three seconds per page. It is possible to send faxes to multiple recipients as well as dual fax and fax broadcasting.
