Have your tequila in the form of a tequila sunrise, which consists of 2 oz. of tequila, 4 oz. of orange juice and 3/4 oz. of grenadine over ice.
Coscorron

A coscorron is a slightly more elaborate shot of tequila. To make it, add a small amount of lemon-lime soda and a few drops of lime juice to the shot of tequila. Gently tap the shot glass on the table to mix, then drink the shot.
Bandera

Drink tequila with two other shots, which is called a bandera. Line up a shot of tequila, a shot of sangrita and a shot of lime juice. Do not confuse sangrita with sangria. Sangrita is made from orange, pomegranate and lime juice, with a splash of hot sauce. Drink the tequila first, then the sangrita and finish with the lime juice.
