Exceptions

Injury and death are not covered if the employee meant to cause them, is guilty of other willful misconduct or is intoxicated.
Bills

Doctors and hospital bills are covered as well as transportation to obtain medical care. Treatment by dentists, podiatrists, psychologists, chiropractors and osteopaths, are covered as well.
Temporary Injury

An injured federal employee can receive 45 days regular pay under FECA. In addition, the employee can collect two-thirds of his regular wages for up to two weeks to compensate him for loss of wages if he has no dependents. If she has dependents, she can collect three-fourths of previous wages.
Permanent Injury

An employee who is permanently injured can receive the difference between what he earned before the injury and what he earns afterward.
Death
-
The widow gets half of the employee's pay if there are no children. If there are children, she gets 45 percent and they each get 15 percent. The wife's benefits end if she remarries and the children's benefits end when they are 18-years-old if they don't go to college and if they do, when they leave school.
