Fuel Suggestions for a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS

The 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS is a supercharged vehicle that produces 205 horsepower. It is the performance variant of the standard Chevrolet Cobalt. Sports cars often have different fuel suggestions recommended by the manufacturer, as is the case with the Cobalt SS versus the standard Cobalt. Fuel Suggestions

• Chevrolet recommends using 91 or higher octane fuel in the 2006 Cobalt SS. This vehicle is equipped with a 2.0-liter supercharged engine with a higher compression ratio than the base model's engine. Fuel rated 91 octane or higher generally is known as premium grade.
