How to Apply for Food Stamps in Gresham, Oregon

The United States Department of Agriculture changed the name of the food stamp program in January 2010 to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This program is meant to improve the nutritional needs of an individual or family. According to Oregon's Department of Human Services, applicants do not have to be destitute to be eligible. The Department administers the program in Oregon through offices in various cities, including Gresham.

      Complete the application form. The Department requires applicants to complete the printed form by hand.
