How to Change an IP With Routing Enabled
Even with routing enabled, you can renew your IP address on the network card. The network card's IP address is a number that identifies your computer on the network. Every computer on the Internet and in internal networks configured with Internet connectivity has an IP address. You can renew and change your IP address using the "renew" switch in the "ipconfig" command. This command polls the network servers for a new IP address, which is still compatible with the network routers.
