How to Clean a Logitech LX6

Cleaning your mouse enhances its ability to move smoothly across a surface, giving you less jumps while moving the pointer across your screen. Logitech's LX6 optical mouse has no moving parts, making it mostly a very clean mouse, as opposed to the old rolling ball mice that came before optical mice, which caught dirt in the rollers brought up from the ball. You still have, however, a problem with dirt caught up on the small rubber pads at each corner of your mouse.
    • 1

Flip your mouse over, and disconnect it from your computer.

    • 2

Take a cotton ball, and dampen it with rubbing alcohol.

    • 3

Rub the cotton ball against each of your LX6 mouse's corners, getting as much dirt out of the rubber pads as possible.

    • 4

Take a cotton swab, and dip it into some rubbing alcohol. Rub the cotton swab against the surface of the mouse's LED light.

    • 5

Wait for the alcohol to dry off, and connect the mouse to your computer again.
