Insert a USB drive into your computer. It will show up in "My Computer" -- or "Computer," depending on the operating system -- on your virtual machine.

Browse to the USB drive on the virtual machine and copy the data you want to transfer onto the USB drive.

Minimize the virtual machine software and browse to the location to which you want to copy the files. Double-click on the USB drive and copy your files onto your hard drive.

How to Copy Data From a Virtual Machine to a HDD
Virtual machines are operating systems that run inside your computer and let you run a second operating system on a virtual computer. Virtual machines may be used to test new software or to run programs that might contain a virus or are otherwise untrustworthy. No matter what happens on the virtual machine, nothing bad will happen to your actual computer or the operating system in which the virtual machine software is running.
