How to Create 3-D Models in Carrara 6 Pro
Daz3D is one of the premier providers of 3-D content on the Internet. Most of its products are intended for use in either Poser or Daz Studio, which are primarily consumer applications for hobbyists. However, Daz3D also makes the Carrara 6 Pro application, which can not only import pre-made models, but can actually be used to create them as well. This, along with other features such as collision effects and dynamics make it useful for the professional graphics artist or animator, not to mention the ambitious amateur. One of the best approaches to modeling in Carrara (or most 3-D modelers for that matter) is to use a process known as "box modeling." A good way to learn basic box modeling is to create a pedestal table.
