How to Design a Wedding Candelabra

Wedding candelabras are candleholders that are typically decorated with flowers and other accessories. They accentuate the wedding ceremony site; provide intimate lighting and decor on each table at the reception. Knowing the theme of your wedding is helpful when designing a wedding candelabra. The theme lays the foundation for the design of the candelabra to include, metal, color and size.

      Select the metal type of the candelabra. Candelabras come in various metals that become the backdrop color of the candelabra. Brass, gold, silver and crystal are a few metals from which you can choose.

      Choose the size of the candelabra. They come in various sizes that include three to five arm designs.

      Determine the color of the candles. White symbolizes purity but you may decide to select a color that represents your wedding theme.

      Select the type of flowers and/or accessories that will be displayed. Candelabras can hold different flower types depending on the size of the candelabra. Flower choice is a personal decision and should reflect the overall flower design of the wedding. Some choose to display hanging crystals, plants or other decorative accessories.

      Choose the colors of the flowers that will be used to decorate the candelabra. Most flowers come in a variety of colors. The colors should fit the theme and style of the wedding.
