How to Disable Acronis Loader

Acronis Loader is a computer program that allows you to mount disc image files created using the Acronis True Image file creation program. Acronis Loader essentially tricks your computer into thinking you have another CD or DVD drive installed, but this drive is virtual---it is running a file off of your hard drive, and your operating system recognizes it as an actual disc. You can disable Acronis Loader at any time via the Task Manager.

  Right-click on the task bar.

  Click "Start Task Manager."

  Click the button at the top of the Task Manager program window that reads "Applications."

  Click once on the listing for "Acronis Loader" to highlight it.

  Click "End Task" to disable Acronis Loader on your computer.
