How to Find an Inmate in Los Angeles County

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department keeps careful track of the prisoners that come in and out of the system. Each case gets a booking number that the county can reference for information about the case. Families and friends can find out where the inmate is being held, when the trial is and how long the sentence is by simply entering his name in a search on the Sheriff Department's website.
