How to Find the Real Password From WEP Hex

One of the oldest wireless network encryption standards is the WEP or "Wireless Equivalency Protocol" that is designed to prevent eavesdropping on wireless networks through the use of encryption algorithms such as RC4. Many older wireless networks still support WEP-only encryption using a security key or pass phrase written in hexadecimal format that is entered into every wireless device that connects to the network. Convert the hexadecimal pass phrase into human readable ASCII to management of the wireless network.

  Open a web browser and enter the address of the "Wifizard" web site into the web browser address bar, and press the "Enter" key. Type the hexadecimal pass phrase in the "Hexadecimal Value" field in the web page that appears. Click the "Convert it" button located just below the "Hexadecimal Value" field. The ASCII value of the pass phrase will appear in the "ASCII Value" field.

  Open a web browser and enter the address of the "Dirty Monday" web site into the web browser address bar, and press the "Enter" key. Type the hexadecimal pass phrase into the "Hex Key" box and press the "Enter" key. The ASCII value of the pass phrase will appear in the "ASCII Key" box below the "Hex Key" field.

  Open a web browser and enter the address of the "Einhorn-net" web site into the web browser address bar, and press the "Enter" key. Type the Hexadecimal pass phrase into the "HEX" field and then click the "HEX > ASCII" button. The ASCII value of the pass phrase will appear in the "ASCII" field immediately above the "HEX field.
