How to Get Reprompted for ActiveX Control

ActiveX controls are small applications that are downloaded from the Internet that allow you to see and interact with some Web content in the Internet Explorer browser. At times, you may want to be prompted again whether to allow the download and use of the ActiveX control. To be able to do this, you need to go into your Internet Explorer settings.

  Launch the Internet Explorer browser.

  Click the "Tools" drop-down menu. Scroll down and click "Internet Options." Select the "Security" tab.

  Click the "Custom level" button.

  Click the radio button next to "Download Signed ActiveX Control (Prompt)." Click "Apply" and click "OK." Restart your browser.
