Over the years, Internet browsers have been programmed to collect and store more information in order to facilitate a better user experience. An Internet browser cookie is a piece of text information usually used in identity authentication but can also be used in saving website preferences or storing items in a shopping cart. One of the more visible pieces of information is Internet browser search history. Internet browsers store every website frequented by a user or user applications. Internet browsers also give users the ability to delete this information.

Click the "Start" button found on the main menu bar and select "Control Panel."

Double-click the "Internet Options" icon.

Click "Yes" then "OK" in the verification pop-up.

Launch the Firefox Internet browser and click "Tools" located on the upper menu bar.

Select "Clear Recent History" and choose which period of time to be deleted.

Select "Clear Now" to finalize the search history deletion.
