How to Install a Home Amp & Subwoofer
A home amplifier and subwoofer work together to produce the deep bass that rumbles throughout the room in a home theater system. The sub produces low-frequency audio and air movement, so listeners can feel as well as hear the bass. Amplifiers are equipped with a 1/4-inch audio output jack dedicated for a subwoofer connection. Use a heavy subwoofer cable designed specifically for sub use to hook up the two components.
