How to Level a 7-Foot Pool Table

It is very important to make sure your pool table is precisely level, and a majority of pool tables have screws built into the feet on the table legs that make adjusting very easy. You can level a pool table purely through guesswork and rolling a ball up and down the table, but the fastest way is with a spirit level.

Place the spirit level on the edge at one end of the table and observe which way the bubble goes. If it goes to the right, you need to raise the left or lower the right; if it goes to the left, raise the right or lower the left.

Adjust the height of the table accordingly, using the screws built into the feet. You may need to use a table jack to raise the table up slightly to make this task easier or get somebody to help you.

Repeat these steps at the other end and on the sides as well to ensure the table is precisely level.

Adjust the height of the table by placing spacers under the legs and taking another reading with the spirit level. The easiest way to get the spacers under the legs is to use a table jack, but you may not need one if you have a strong friend willing to help you.
