How to Market & Deliver Value

A marketing strategy is created with the target consumer's needs and cost constraints in mind. The marketing team is tasked with communicating its message effectively. The target customer should easily be able to understand the value of the company's product or service and how it addresses specific needs. Companies must focus on communicating and delivering value to their customers instead of focusing on aggressive sales techniques.

      Evaluate your competition. Objectively compare the cost and features of their products with your own. Identify the unique value that you are bringing to your target customer. Document your strengths and weaknesses within your niche.

      Analyze your target consumer's needs on a regular basis. Look at the long-term situation and how customer needs could evolve over time. Step into an average customer's shoes and try to intuitively discover customer needs that may not have been articulated in surveys or primary market research.

      Create a product or service-delivery mechanism that provides the customer with the most convenient way to access your product or services. Communicate the value of your product or service in ways that appeal to your target customer and convey how her or his needs will be addressed.
