How to Open a Sansa Clip

If you want to open the folders on a Sansa Clip on your computer for easy access to the songs, you can do so with the free and native program Windows Media Player.

  Navigate to the SanDisk drivers page to download software for your computer that will help it recognize and open the Clip. (See Resources)

  Select the "Sansa Clip" entry under the "Sansa" heading in the drivers box. Click "Find Driver" to get the most recent driver for your Clip. Click the download link to download it to your computer. Double-click that file to install it.

  Connect your Clip to your computer with the USB cable for the Clip. Select "Windows Media Player" in the list of options that appears on your screen. Click "OK."

  Select the "Sync" tab in Windows Media Player. Click the "Sansa Clip" entry at the bottom left of the tab. The Sansa Clips folders are now open. You can view, play, delete or transfer them as you wish.
