How to Pick a Channel on a Uniden BC296D Scanner

The Uniden BC296D scanner is a portable two-way radio. The scanner will scan for active channels, or you can manually set the channel. Before manually changing the channel on a Uniden scanner, make sure the volume dial on the top of the scanner is turned to a comfortable level and that the scanner is adequately charged.

  Press the "Hold/Man" button located on the left-side front of the Uniden BC296D scanner. This button controls the Hold, Manual, Frequency and Channel features.

  Enter the channel number by pressing the number keys in the keypad area. Press the "Reverse" button once for the decimal if a decimal point is required when entering the channel.

  Press the "Hold/Man" button again.
