How to Prepare for the Electrical Exam
In most states, to take the exam for electrical licensing you need to be at least 18 years of age, list electrical field experience with a four-year minimum and supply references from licensed electricians on your character and capabilities. Once you have met the minimum criteria detailed by your state, your application will go to a review board that will then approve your application to take the test. To prepare for the actual test, you will need to rely on your field experience and knowledge of electrical building codes for the state in which you are applying.
