Keep the box your new Okidata toner came in. You can use that box to ship the old toner back for recycling.
- 2
Look inside the box the new toner came in, and check for a prepaid shipping label. Many replacement toner cartridges will come with a prepaid label that a printer owner can use to ship the old toner back for recycling.
- 3
Wrap the used toner in a plastic bag or plastic wrap, and secure it with packing tape. Wrapping the toner will prevent it from leaking during shipment.
- 4
Place the wrapped toner cartridge back in the box the new one came in. Tape the box securely, and attach the shipping label if one came with the new toner.
- 5
Log on to the Okidata recycling website (see Resources) if there was no shipping label in the box. Enter your name, company name if applicable, return address and the serial number of the machine in the form, and click the "Generate Label" button. Print the label, and attach it to the box. Drop the box off at your nearest authorized shipping center.

How to Recycle Okidata Toner Cartridges
If you own an Okidata printer or copier, you can protect the environment by disposing of your used toner cartridges properly. Simply throwing those old toner cartridges in the trash is a bad idea, since the chemicals used to manufacture them could leach into the environment if the cartridge ends up in a landfill. Fortunately for printer and copier owners, Okidata makes it easy for its customers to do the right thing by recycling their old toner cartridges.
