How to Refill an Epson T0971

Home printers, such as the ones in the Epson 900 series, allow users to print documents from the comfort of their home office. These printers rely on ink cartridges to transfer ink from the printer to the paper. From time to time, these cartridges will run out of ink, and replaces with a new cartridge. Fortunately, ink cartridges in the printer can be replaced easily.

Open your printer cover. Press and hold the "Load/Eject" button on the printer until the ink cartridge slot moves to the center of the printer and the printer's power light begins flashing. If you need to replace the color ink cartridge, press the "Load/Eject" button again until the cartridge slot moves to the center of the printer.

Pull the ink cartridge clamp up until the ink cartridge pops out of the cartridge slot. Pull the cartridge out of the printer and dispose of it.

    • 3

Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging, and remove the yellow seal from the top of the cartridge.

    • 4

Insert the new ink cartridge into the cartridge slot with the label facing up. Press down on the cartridge clamp until it locks into place.

    • 5

Press the "Load/Eject" button to move the cartridge back to its original position. If you need to replace the color cartridge, repeat steps 2 through 4 with the color cartridge slot, and press the "Load/Eject" button again to move the color cartridge back to its original position.
